General Questions
Can I join if I don’t know how to play hockey?
Absolutely! All skill levels are welcome. We hope with other players and skill-learning opportunities that you’ll naturally grow into higher skill levels.
Can I join if I don’t know how to skate?
We welcome you to join our volunteer team so you can stay connected and involved with us!
Our pilot event this fall (2026) is going to floor or ball hockey, so we’d love to see you there! If there’s enough interest, we can host more events of this kind.
In the future, we aim to host skating and skills workshops once we have the capacity!
How do I volunteer or become a member?

Filling out the form doesn’t entail any commitment, it’s purely so that we can email you when we have news!
What will costs for participation / membership look like?
We aim to be as low cost and affordable as possible. Any event that requires a registration fee will be outlined clearly! If cost ends up being a barrier for you, please contact us.
League Operations
When will PPHL be a competitive league?
At this point, we can’t say how fast we will get there. We hope to see Prairie Pride in league form within the next 2-5 years. We’d love to see it done sooner than later!
In the meantime, we have a pilot event (floor or ball hockey) upcoming for the fall, with its information to be announced within a month’s time. After that, we should be on the way to the ice for shinny!
What will scheduling look like?
We will likely be looking at evenings and/or weekends, depending on the event and its purpose.
